Guess what we are doing? ..........AGAIN!!!!!

Lol!! Yup!! The gypsies are on the move!! You'd think we'd be sick of it but hey...that's the joy of renting!! lol!!
Before we get made fun of too much...let me tell the story!!! :) As of right now...we are renting a tiny 1 bedroom apartment. Works for us. It was cheap and at that point in our lives it was a definite answer to prayer...however, we need to get out of there for several reasons. 1) It's tiny. 2) the walls are paper thin. We can actually hear our neighbor sneeze and their actual conversations...word for word (which means they can hear us too!!) 3) I apologize in advance cause this is mean but this is the worse landlord we have ever had (won't go into detail) 4) the walls are paper thin (oh. did I already mention that!!!?? lol) 5) it's getting bad behind our apt building. Someone tried to break into Sam's truck the one night. And we have seen drug deals and people doing drugs outside our bedroom window and 6) the walls are paper thin. Yeah.
So anyway....we have been praying as to what to do. We didn't really want to leave the village cause we are both in the fire company and want to be close. Plus most of my family lives in the village, our church is close by and I work in the village. There was a house we really wanted but it wasn't in the village and it was a little more than we were wanting to pay. It was doable but a little more than we felt comfortable paying but we loved it. So we put in the application and just prayed about it and told God that we wanted what He wanted. We asked Him to show us CLEARLY what His will is. Well last Friday while I was at work a lady in the woman's auxiliary (part of the fire co) came into my store and told me that Sam had mentioned to her that we were looking for a house and if she knew of one to let him know. Unbeknownst (did I spell that right? I was trying to look smart but didn't work!!!) to us her and her husband own a house that they've been renting out to the same people for 8 years. The people just told them on Christmas that they bought a house. This lady and her husband immediately thought of Sam and I and wanted us to be in the house. She said her phone was ringing off the hook of fireman wanting the house but her and her husband wanted us. So we thought that was all God. I mean....seriously...how often does someone walk up to you and ask you if you'd like to rent their house? It's in the village which is what we wanted...the price is amazing, it's 2 bedroom (perfect for us) has a front porch (which we love) a HUGE HUGE backyard for Mogley to run around. It needs work (boy does it need work) but we are really really excited about it because we know without a doubt that this was God. To us it was an extra special hug from Him!! The landlord told us to paint however we want and they will pay for all the supplies. They said to treat it as our own and do whatever we want and just give them receipts and they will reimburse us. So we are just thrilled!! Finally....some privacy!! We are so very excited and wanted to share with you!
Oh yeah...one more thing about the house. This is silly but a big deal to me. I've always loved the mailboxes that are just a slot in the door so your mail goes right in your house....and this house has one! It's just amazing to me how God gave us our desires right down to the little tiniest details!!

Hello out there!

I haven't been on here much cause my internet went down but I wanted to pop on and say hi!! Hope everyone is doing well!! We've been keeping busy. Sam was really really sick last week which is very rare for him. It was hard to see him so weak but thankfully he is doing much better now. (and thankfully I did not get it!!)
On Saturday my whole family is getting together at my brother and his wife's (Ben and Claire) house and getting pizza and watching "It's a Wonderful Life" We are really looking forward to that. It's gonna be alot of fun!!
If I don't get on here I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!! Enjoy your time with your loved ones!!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I was thinking last night (yeah....I do that every once in a while!!!) while laying in bed about how much I have to be thankful for. We are very blessed and I just wanted to share a few things that I'm thankful for this year.

1. I'm thankful for my husband, Sam. He is a wonderful husband and wonderful friend. I feel so blessed to have him in my life.
2. I'm thankful for my family. Not many people can say that they have almost their whole family living literally around the corner!! Plus we get to see them at church every week. I'm so blessed to have a wonderful family who love God and love me.
3. I'm thankful for wonderful in-laws. I know alot of people joke about in-laws but Sam has a wonderful family that love me like their own. I'm very blessed to have them in my life.
4. I'm thankful for my pastor and his wife, and our church. They love God and want to please Him in all they do and desire the same for us. They love us regardless. It's nice being able to get "fed" every time you are at church. I'm very blessed to have a good church to attend.
5. I'm thankful that Sam and I both have a job. In these times with so many people out of work, I am blessed that we both have a job.
6. And last but certainly not least I'm thankful for God's love, mercy, grace and longsuffering towards me. He is so good to me us and I thank God for all his blessings to me. I am blessed to be a child of God.

Biscuits & Gravy

I wanted to post this recipe cause I had quite a few people ask me for it. I made it on Sunday and it was so easy and so delicious (and so fattening!!! lol!!)

BISCUITS & GRAVY

*1 roll breakfast sausage
*1 stick butter/margarine (yeah...that's right!! lol!! Don't tell my mom!!)
*1/2 cup flour (I added a little more just to thicken it up a little)
*4 cups of milk

***Cook sausage & butter.
Add flour....stir in well.
Then add milk, salt & pepper.

***For the biscuits I just bought those biscuits that you buy in a roll in the refrigerated section at the store. Makes 8 biscuits.

Our "new to us" furniture!!

We went to a used furniture store on Saturday to find a headboard and found this one for $20. Beautiful condition! Beautiful!! We love it!! And also found....I'm not really sure what you call it...I'm thinking armoire but I'm not sure that's the right word but anyways...we put our microwave on it and there is storage too. We got that...solid wood....beautiful condition for $25!! We were so excited about it so I wanted to show you!! Oh, and at the end I wanted to show you my pictures of our little pumpkin setup we put in our hallway! And that's my very handsome husband in the picture!

We went to Letchworth State Park today and had a wonderful, relaxing day! It was gorgeous!! It was warm and sunny and the colors were amazing!! The camera didn't quite capture the beauty but it was amazing!!

Pumpkin Festival

Happy Anniversary to my love!!

Tomorrow (September 29th) is our 7 year anniversary!! I am so thankful that God has given me another year with Sam. I can honestly say that every day gets better and better. He is a wonderful husband and my best friend. He takes such good care of me every day. I'm so thankful to have such a hard working husband. He makes sure I have everything I need and want when he can....even if it means that he goes without. When I don't feel well he makes sure I just rest and he takes care of everything. It's the little things like that, that make a world of a difference. I love you with all my heart Sam and thank God for bringing you into my life!

Quick update....

Sam went to the oral surgeon this morning for a follow-up and to have his stitches removed. Everything is healing real nicely, thank God!! So that was good news. He's feeling good. No pain which is wonderful too!!

We wanted to thank everyone who prayed for Sam yesterday. It was a little more complicated than the oral surgeon thought it would be but he did fine. They ended up taking 6 teeth. They had to cut his gums open to get everything all the way up so he has quite a few stitches. He still can't talk cause his mouth is so swollen. He says he can feel it all the way up to his eye which I remember feeling when I just had 1 tooth out....can't imagine 6 of them. But he's doing good. He was laughing today....trying hard not to though cause it hurts but he's doing good. He can't eat solids for about a week though so that's gonna be tough for him. But glad it was done and it's over. He was having way too many problems with those teeth. So we wanted to thank everyone who prayed for him. Please just pray now that it doesn't get infected. He has to rinse with salt water 5 or 6 times a day for the next week to help keep infection out. And then the surgeon wants to see him next Friday to check him and to take out the stitches. It is really nice having him home but I wish he wasn't feeling so crummy!! Mogley is thrilled beyond measure that daddy is home all weekend cause those 2 are good buddies and Mogley is more than happy to keep daddy company while he's recovering!! So...just wanted to update everyone and thank you for praying! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Happy Birthday Dad!!

I know my dad does not have a computer, and he has no desire to use one that I know of!! But I wanted to wish my dad a happy 60th birthday. Thank you for loving me and taking care of me my whole life. I have wonderful memories of growing up as your daughter. You worked very hard to make sure we always had food on the table, clothes on our back, and a nice warm house to live in. You provided stability for us. We never had to wonder if dad was coming home that night. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made to make sure we were taken care. Some sacrifices I'm sure I won't even realize till I become a parent. But thank you. Thank you for taking us to church even when you were tired after a long week of work. Thank you for your example to us!! I've said this before but I will say it again....in all my years of living at home I never once heard you and mom argue with each other. I'm sure it was done cause you are human :) but you both made sure that we never had to hear that. What a wonderful example!! Thank you for everything dad!! We love you!!! Happy Birthday!!

It's ALMOST Fall!!! Hooray!

I am itching to decorate the house for Fall!! I love late September-December cause it's our anniversary, then Sam's birthday, then Thanksgiving, and then Christmas so there is sooo much to decorate for!! I love decorating the house for holidays! I'm trying to decided when I can start!!! It's a little too early yet (I suppose!) but soon!! This morning I took Mogley out for a walk at 7:30 and it was only 44 degrees!! It was really nice!!! Felt like Fall!! Hope everyone is doing well!

Ahhh! It's the weekend!!!

I love Saturdays cause it's nice to just do nothing!! I love that I get to spend the whole day with Sam and just relax or do whatever we want! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

Happy Birthday to my big brother, Aaron!!!

Okay it's a day early but I don't think I'll have a chance to post tomorrow so I'm doing it now!!
Just wanted to wish my brother, Aaron, a very happy birthday! I'm sad that I can no longer say that we are the same age!! (for 3 weeks out of every year we are the same age and I love it!!! lol) Thank you for everything, Aaron. You are a wonderful big brother, and a wonderful friend. I love you very much. I have always looked up to you. Ever since we were little and in public school you stood up for what was right no matter who liked it or didn't like it. You are the best Christian I know and I am so honored to be your little sister. Hope you have a wonderful birthday and know that I love you. (cause next time I see you I'll probably be mean to you like I always am!!! lol!!! Just funner that way!!!)

I just thought this was so cute! When I came home from work last night this is what I found. Sam on the floor reading with Mogley all snuggled up with him! I just thought it was so sweet!!!

Howdy!

Hi! Hope everyone had a good weekend! We went to the fireman's picnic Saturday which was nice and then had a bonfire that night at the chief's house. It was fun but there were bats flying pretty low at first and that scared me so bad after my run-in with the bat last summer! Those rabies shots were NOT fun! lol!!! So needless to say...I was panicking!
This weekend from Thursday night to Sunday night we are going to Syracuse. Everything is paid for already by the firehall (gas, food, hotel) so it will be nice to get away (and for free!) It will be great to be able to get away with Sam and Mogley! I can't wait!
Our new "baby", Mogley is doing great! He seems to be adjusting wonderfully. He's such a good little dog! He's very affectionate and loving which we love! (of course!) and he's just very well behaved! We are working on his barking cause when we leave he barks and cries for a few minutes but he's getting alot better...thank God! We introduced him to the lady in the apartment next to us so hopefully he'll get used to hearing her voice and not bark when he hears her! He's so funny when we go for walks...he tries to act so tough with people and it's so funny cause he's all of what...14 pounds!? I don't think he realizes that! lol!
Anyway...hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer!

Happy 4th!!!

Hope everyone had a good 4th! We basically just relaxed and got to know our newest member of the family, Mogley! We had a get-together with some of my family (it was very last minute so my sis and her husband and kids could not make it) but we had hot dogs and salads and baked beans and eclair cake and all that good stuff! Then most of us walked down to the parade and watched that and had a really nice time.
Mogley has been with us for 2 days now and seems to be adjusting real well! The first day was hard for him. He was sad and wouldn't really eat or drink but now he's doing great! He's eating and drinking and is soooooo loving!! He wants to be everywhere Sam and I are! It's so cute!! He kisses us every few minutes and is just such a sweetheart! We are so attached already!! I'll post some pics when I get a chance!!
